【軽井沢 | gallery fumoto 】ガラス作家谷口嘉展開催のお知らせ

2026年5月28日（木）から6月8日（月）まで、神奈川県川崎市を拠点に活動するガラス作家谷口嘉さんの個展を軽井沢 gallery fumotoにて開催いたします。 gallery fumotoでは2回目の開催となる本展では、谷口さんが得意とする「型吹き」という技法で作られた花器・グラスや食器などのテーブルウェアをご紹介いたします。繊細なディティールを生み出す型は、殆どがオリジナルで、やきものなどの伝統的な形状やサイズを応用しつつ、使い手の需要やガラスの性質なども考慮し制作しています。クールな表情と丁寧な手作業が融合し、独特の存在感を放つ作品となっています。若葉が風にゆれ、初夏の光が満ちるこの季節に、谷口嘉の世界をご堪能ください。皆さまのお越しをお待ちしております。 From Thursday, May 28 to Monday, June 8, 2026, we will hold a solo exhibition by glass artist Yoshimi Taniguchi, who is based in Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture, at gallery fumoto in Karuizawa. This will be the second exhibition of Taniguchi’s work at gallery fumoto, featuring tableware such as vases, glasses, and dishes created using his specialty technique,“mold-blowing.” The molds used to create the delicate details are mostly original. While drawing on traditional forms and sizes found in ceramics and other crafts, his works are carefully designed with consideration for both the user’s needs and the properties of glass. The result is a unique presence that blends a cool aesthetic with meticulous handcraftsmanship. In this season, when fresh green leaves sway in the breeze and early summer light fills the air, we invite you to experience the world of Yoshimi Taniguchi. We look forward to welcoming you. [ Message from the Artist ] 自作の型を使用した型吹きという技法で制作しています。型吹きならではの風合いのガラスが、生活に彩りを加える要素になればと思います。谷口嘉 I create my work using a technique called mold-blowing, employing molds that I make myself. 谷口嘉｜ガラス作家 1978年神奈川県生まれ 2001年多摩美術大学デザイン科立体デザイン専攻クラフトデザイン専修ガラスコース卒業あづみ野ガラス工房勤務(〜06) 2006年多摩美術大学工芸学科ガラス研究助手(〜12) 現在神奈川県川崎市を拠点に制作 Yoshimi Taniguchi | Glass Artist Born in 1978 in Kanagawa Prefecture. Graduated in 2001 from Tama Art University, Department of Design, specializing in Craft Design (Glass Course) within the Sculpture Design program.Worked at Azumino Glass Studio (until 2006). Served as a research assistant in the Glass Program, Department of Crafts at Tama Art University (2006–2012). Currently based in Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture, where he continues his practice.
