2025年9月30日（火）から10月5日（日）まで、東京代官山・gallery ON THE HILLにて、富山県富山市を拠点に活動するガラス作家・金津沙矢香の個展を開催します。代表作であるスノードームを中心に、オブジェやオーナメントなどを展示販売いたします。

透明なガラスの素地に、家や木をモチーフにした美しい景色が浮かび上がる金津作品。庭仕事をするひとときや、夕焼けに染まる町並みのシルエットなど、作家が日常生活や旅先で出会った印象的な風景がモチーフとなっています。 湾曲したガラスに描かれたモチーフは、光の屈折や交差によって、見る角度ごとに独特な景色の重なりや奥行きを感じさせます。吹きガラスでつくった素地に下絵を施し、カッターで削って細かな模様を仕上げた後、窯で焼き付けて絵の具を定着させます。作家はこの下絵をカッターで削る作業を「まるで光を描いているようだ」と語ります。削り残された絵の具は影として残り、シルエット化されたモチーフが多様な風景を紡ぎます。まるで絵本を眺めるかのように、金津作品を見つめるひとときは、日々の暮らしに小さな癒しをもたらしてくれることでしょう。 光や風景を描いた幻想的な世界観を、どうぞお楽しみください。 皆様のご来場を心よりお待ち申し上げております。 Announcement of a Solo Exhibition by Glass Artist Sayaka Kanazu We are pleased to announce that gallery ON THE HILL in Daikanyama, Tokyo will host a solo exhibition by Toyama-based glass artist Sayaka Kanazu, on view from Tuesday, September 30 to Sunday, October 5, 2025. Centered around her iconic snow globes, the exhibition will also feature a selection of glass objects and ornaments, all available for purchase.

Kanazu’s works reveal enchanting landscapes within transparent glass forms, often depicting motifs such as houses, trees, gardens, or silhouettes of towns at sunset—scenes inspired by moments from her daily life and travels. The curved glass surfaces refract and overlap these motifs, creating shifting perspectives and a sense of depth that changes with each angle of view.

Her process involves applying preliminary drawings onto blown-glass bases, carving fine patterns with a cutter, and then kiln-firing the surface to permanently set the pigments. She describes the act of carving as “drawing with light.” The remaining pigments form shadow-like silhouettes, weaving together diverse landscapes that invite viewers into an imaginative world.

Kanazu’s works evoke the feeling of gazing into a picture book, offering a moment of quiet wonder and solace in everyday life. We warmly welcome you to experience this poetic universe of glass, light, and landscape.

• ご入場は予約制ではございませんが、混雑状況により整理券を配布し、入場制限を行う場合がございます。
  

• Admission is not by reservation. However, depending on crowd conditions, numbered tickets may be distributed and entry may be restricted.

スノードームの販売について / Snow Globe Sales

• すべて抽選販売となり、会場にてお申し込みいただいた方のみご予約を承ります。

• お申し込みは、ご本人様に限り、おひとり人様1点・1回限りとさせていただきます。

• 当選のご連絡は10月6日（月）に、ご当選者様のみにメールにて差し上げます。なお、ご連絡がつかない場合は再抽選とさせていただく場合がございますので、あらかじめご了承ください。
  

• All snow globes will be sold by lottery, and reservations will be accepted only from those who apply in person at the venue.

• Each visitor may submit one application for one piece only.

• Successful applicants will be notified by email on Monday, October 6. Please note that if we are unable to reach you, a re-draw may be conducted.
