2026年6月5日(金)から6月15日(月)までKAMAKURA meetにて富山県富山市を拠点に活動するガラス作家・金津沙矢香の個展を開催します。代表作であるスノードームを中心に、ガラスのオブジェ・キャニスターや風鈴などを展示販売いたします。
透明なガラスの素地の中に、家や木をモチーフとした美しい景色が浮かび上がる金津作品。庭仕事をするひとときや、夕焼けに染まる町並みのシルエットなど、作家が日常生活や旅先で出会った印象的な風景がモチーフとなっています。
湾曲したガラスに描かれたモチーフは、光の屈折や交差によって、見る角度ごとに異なる景色の重なりや奥行きを生み出します。吹きガラスでつくられた素地に下絵を施し、カッターで削りながら細かな模様を仕上げた後、窯で焼き付けて絵の具を定着させるという工程を経て作品は完成します。金津さんはこの下絵をカッターで削る作業を「まるで光を描いているようだ」と語ります。削り残された絵の具は影として残り、シルエット化されたモチーフが多様な風景を紡ぎ出します。まるで絵本をめくるように作品を眺める時間は、日々の暮らしにそっと寄り添い、小さな癒しをもたらしてくれることでしょう。

From Friday, June 5, 2026 to Monday, June 15, 2026, we will be holding a solo exhibition by glass artist Sayaka Kanazu, based in Toyama City, Toyama Prefecture, at KAMAKURA meet. The exhibition will feature her signature snow globes, along with glass objects, canisters, wind chimes, and more, available for viewing and purchase.
Kanazu’s works depict beautiful landscapes within transparent glass forms, often featuring motifs such as houses and trees. These scenes are inspired by the artist’s everyday life and travels—moments such as working in the garden or silhouettes of townscapes tinted by the evening glow.
The motifs painted on curved glass surfaces create varying layers and depth depending on the viewing angle, as light refracts and intersects through the form. The works are completed through a process that involves applying sketches onto blown glass, carving the surface with a cutter to refine intricate patterns, and then firing the piece in a kiln to permanently set the pigments. Kanazu describes this process of carving the underdrawing with a cutter as “like drawing with light.” The remaining paint after carving lingers as shadow, and these silhouetted motifs weave together diverse landscapes. Viewing the works feels like turning the pages of a picture book, gently accompanying everyday life and offering quiet moments of comfort.

金津沙矢香｜ガラス作家
1976年三重県生まれ
近畿大学文芸学部芸術学科在学中にガラス教室で吹きガラスを始める。
2001年富山ガラス造形研究所にて専門的にガラスを学び、富山ガラス工房スタッフを経て、現在富山にて独立、制作。
Sayaka Kanazu | Glass Artist
Born in 1976 in Mie Prefecture, Japan.She began working with blown glass while studying at the Department of Arts, Faculty of Literature and Arts at Kindai University.
In 2001, she studied glass art professionally at the Toyama Institute of Glass Art. After working as a staff member at the Toyama Glass Studio, she became independent and is currently based in Toyama, where she continues her artistic practice.

Admission is not by reservation; however, entry may be restricted by numbered tickets in case of crowding.
Snow globe works will be sold by lottery.
Other works will be available for purchase during the exhibition period.

Applications are accepted in-store only. (Applicants must apply in person.)
Each person may apply only once.

Regular Sale Items
Purchases are limited to two items per person.
If the venue is crowded, numbered tickets will be distributed and visitors will be guided in groups of 2–3 parties at a time.
Please note that even if you visit as a group, you may be guided separately depending on store conditions.
To allow as many visitors as possible to view the works, viewing time for regular sale items is limited to approximately 15–20 minutes.
If you are unable to view all works within the allotted time, or wish to view them again, we kindly ask you to rejoin the queue for regular sale items.
After viewing the regular sale items, you may proceed to view the lottery sale items. However, depending on conditions, you may be asked to line up again.
